Our Head of School

Julie Felder fell in love with Montessori when her own children first attended Avon Montessori Academy years ago.

When the former Heads of School decided to move on in 2014, she was ready to jump in and keep the school going for other families! With the help of a friend, one of our former Montessori teachers here at AMA, the school got a redesign, and was expanded to include a toddler and elementary program. 

As of June 2019, Julie is the sole Head of School. She has created a warm, welcoming, and connected Montessori community at AMA. Under her direction, our thriving school now offers two Children’s House classrooms, two Toddler classrooms, an expanded outdoor classroom, and much more to come!
