About Avon Montessori Academy

Avon Montessori Academy is a school where children blossom.  We seek to inspire a passion for excellence and nurture curiosity, creativity, and imagination.  We focus not only on giving students a great education, but on preparing them for life.  Our dynamic classrooms offer daily exploration into mathematics, language, science, botany, geography, sensorial, and practical life, all in a traditional Montessori environment.
 
At Avon Montessori Academy, students learn a strong sense of independence and self-discipline.  Success in school is directly tied to the degree that children believe in themselves as capable and independent human beings.  Our goal is to be flexible and creative in addressing each student as a unique individual.  These children, when offered the appropriate aesthetically pleasing, respectful environment within which to discover themselves, will grow their skills in all areas and the whole child will emerge.

Our Philosophy

Our faculty deeply believes in the human potential.  We treat even our youngest child with respect as a full and complete individual.  Our task as a school is to help each student discover and develop the unique talents and possibilities that are their birthright.

Our Approach

The basis of our approach is the simple observation that children learn most effectively through direct personal experience and the process of investigative discovery.  No two children learn at the same pace, nor do they learn best from the same method.
